Richard Horden es catedrático de Arquitectura y diseño industrial en la Escuela de Arquitectura de la Universidad Técnica de Munich (TUM)

Dirige su propio estudio en Londres, desde 1986 (Horden Cherry Lee Architects)
Expondrá su extenso trabajo sobre estructuras mínimas, ligeras y sostenibles.
Inspirados por las Case Study Houses, por la náutica o la aviación, sus proyectos que están a medio camino entre la arquitectura y el diseño industrial. Sus investigaciones sobre arquitectura industrializada, han producido resultados tan formidables y conocidos como la YACHT HOME (1983), o más recientemente la MICRO COMPACT HOUSE, prototipo de vivienda que formaba parte de la importante exposición ‘HOME DELIVERY’, celebrada en el MOMA de New York durante el pasado verano, y que versaba sobre la historia de la vivienda industrializada.

Inspired by the Californian Case Study Houses, or the nautical and aviation design, his works are somewhere between architecture and industrial design. His studies on industrialized architecture, have produced superb results: some well known as the YACHT HOUSE (1983), and more recent ones as the MICRO COMPACT HOME, included as one of 5 prototypes selected to be shown at the MOMA exhibition ‘HOME DELIVERY’, celebrated last summer in New York, showing a history of the industrialized house.
